Defence department spent around $1.2-billion on consultants last year
DND spent nearly $419-million on 'information technology and telecommunication consultants,' and 'management consulting' services last year.

The Department of National Defence spent almost $4.8-billion in total on external contracts in the 2022-23 fiscal year, of which nearly $1.2-billion went to consultants, according to new figures obtained by The Hill Times.
