Senate Conservatives miffed over continued exclusion from NSICOP

The Upper Chamber's three spots on NSICOP have been filled with two Senators from the Independent Senators Group, and one Senator from the Progressive Senate Group.
Senate Conservative Leader Don Plett has been calling on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to appoint a Conservative Senator to NSICOP in a series of letters dating back to April 2022.

All Senate spots on the body of of Parliamentarians tasked with national security oversight have been filled, but to the dismay of the Senate Conservative leader, the Red Chamber’s official opposition remains left out.
