On March 20, Liberal MP Anthony Housefather moved a motion at the Canadian Heritage Committee, calling for a study of ‘tech giants’ current and ongoing use of intimidation and subversion tactics to evade regulation in Canada and across the world.’

Despite the provocative name of a new study being undertaken by the House of Commons Heritage Committee, big tech and lawmakers need to work towards better relationships with each other, says one MP on the committee.
