Nomination rules for incumbent Conservative MPs will change after completion of riding redistribution process, say senior Conservative sources

The Conservatives will elect a new national council at the party’s next policy convention in 2023, and that council will decide new rules for incumbent MPs after the completion of the redistribution process, say Conservatives.

If the next election happens after April 2024, the nomination rules for incumbent Conservative Party MPs will change. In that case, the new national council of the Conservative Party—to be elected in Sept. 2023 in Québec City—will decide new rules.
