Canada Day a cause for reflection, redoubling reconciliation efforts, say MPs, Senators

Amid the shocking discovery of more than 1,000 unmarked graves at three former residential schools, NDP MP Heather McPherson says Canada should use the day to reckon with the fact the country was ‘built on the genocide of Indigenous people.’
