Senate, House report at least 30 COVID-19 cases in Parliamentary Precinct since pandemic’s early days

On April 29, PSPC launched a rapid testing program after a 10-case outbreak among Centre Block construction workers, the most reported cases among workers on the Hill, according to new data.
The House Chamber at West Block has been outfitted with large screens, which beam the images of MPs during virtual proceedings during the pandemic.
There have been at least 30 confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Hill, including three among Senate staff, 16 employed by House administration, and 12 in security since a few months after the onset of the pandemic, according to each body.
