Liberals embark on spending-cycle shakeup with this year’s early budget

The feds have until April 16, later than the usual March 1 deadline, to table the main estimates and ensure they’re better aligned with proposed budget spending. Committees will have until June 10, rather than May 31, to scrutinize the spending.
