Grits set sights on Edmonton Centre, Hawn not running

The federal Liberals have been shut out of the province of Alberta in the last three elections, but think they can win Edmonton Centre now that three-term Conservative MP Laurie Hawn isn’t running again. The Liberals held the riding for 13 years between 1993-2006. But an Alberta-based academic says the only way the Liberals can win any seat in the province is if there is a strong wave of support for the party nationally with the strong possibility of forming government.
