Senators to sit ‘as long as it takes’ to pass omnibus budget bill
Liberal Sen. Joseph Day says Senate should change rules to stop government from cramming wide range of policy measures into one massive omnibus bill.
The House of Commons adjourned a week early for its three-month summer break last week, but the Senate is still dealing with the government's massive omnibus 904-page budget implementation bill and Senators say they will stay "as long as it takes."
