House Speaker’s chair feels ‘like a throne’ says Tory MP Rathgeber, HT reporter off to Nairobi

Last Monday at around 12:20 p.m. during debate on Bill C-14, the Fairness at the Pumps Bill, Tory MP Brent Rathgeber got a tap on his shoulder from one of the House pages, asking him to fill in as the Speaker. The Edmonton-St. Albert, Alta., first-term MP agreed.
