End of an era: grand West Block ballroom to shut down in fall
Public Works plans to renovate a new venue for Parliament Hill events and parties, but the old Bank of Montreal art deco building won't be ready until 2014.
For decades, the grand ballroom in West Block has played host to thousands and thousands of Parliament Hill events, but it will be shut down permanently in the fall, says Public Works.
