Privy Council Office says Clerk Kevin Lynch indicated he wasn't interested in April when the Bank of Canada's board of directors approached him.

The Privy Council Office is dismissing recent published speculation in some newspaper reports, saying Privy Council Clerk Kevin Lynch was never a candidate to replace outgoing Bank of Canada Governor David Dodge, is not interested and that he declined to be a potential candidate in late April.
