The more conflict of interest rules in Ottawa, the less is known
The new, unnamed Conflict of Interest and Ethics Commissioner will have a limited mandate under the new Federal Accountability Act
Ottawa continually teases the public about tightening rules to prevent conflict-of-interest situations from occurring. But every time it sets up more conflict rules, it seems to not provide full enough information to the public about such practices and incidents.
