House Finance Budget showdown on C-43 and C-48 petering out
The Liberal, NDP and Bloc parties have all signaled a desire to see both budget bills passed before the summer break; only the Tories are making noises about standing in the way, but their enthusiasm is waning fast.
Prime Minister Paul Martin's two budget implementation bills appear to be well on their way to becoming law before Parliament breaks for the summer, now that the Liberal, NDP and Bloc parties have all made it clear they want to get the work done by then.
