The Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action form an ongoing commitment to awareness, compassion, and healing. Roughly 85 per cent of them are either underway or actioned.
Work is underway to address the controversial membership criteria within the Indian Act, often known as the Second-Generation Cut-Off.
There is still work to be done, but I believe we have taken more steps forward to achieve reconciliation than any government in history.
