Losing leverage, or levelling up labour?
Perhaps this just the inherent tension between what is ostensibly an employer and organized labour playing out, but fomenting mistrust at this juncture seems like the Liberals setting themselves up for an own goal.
It seems mildly counterproductive to be picking a fight with organized labour at a time when national cohesion is needed, but the Liberal government has apparently decided that—on balance—the threat of economic disruptions is the bigger prey.
