‘Vive le Québec libre’ is now acceptable in Quebec
It is a sign of the intellectual vacuity of the independence movement that a terrorist slogan is now acceptable in defaming one of the most admired countries in the world.
KAMOURASKA, QUE.—The first time I saw the phrase “Vive le Québec libre” was in the early 1960s as graffiti in Montreal. It was the rallying cry of the independence group, the Rassemblement pour l'indépendance nationale, or RIN.
