Winning close ridings comes down to a strong ground game, effective constituency work, and early get-out-the-vote efforts, say Liberal MPs

To energize campaign volunteers and voter base, candidates must point out what’s at stake and show how their efforts can directly influence the election outcome, says Liberal MP Corey Hogan.
The federal Liberal Party’s three-day policy conference concludes in Montreal today with a keynote address by Prime Minister Mark Carney. During the convention, the party held a number of training sessions for grassroots members, including on winning close ridings and mobilizing support base through effective get-out-the-vote efforts, among others.
