Prime Minister Mark Carney announced $3.8-billion in funding to protect nature as part of a new strategy dubbed Force of Nature on March 31.

Environmental groups are welcoming a "heartening" influx of $3.8-billion towards nature conservation projects across the country between now and 2030.
