Conservatives face a 'hard choice' and should 'be worried' as the province confronts pushes for independence, says pollster Quito Maggi. 'They can just hope that there is no election between now and when the referendum takes place.'
A recent poll by Mainstreet Research found Pierre Poilievre's Conservatives were in a statistical tie with the Liberals in Albertan public opinion, despite the Tories holding the 33 of the province's 37 seats. But federal sentiment will likely return to historic levels once the referendum question is settled.
