Trend of increasing mental health challenges requires much more funding, say health sector experts

The Canadian Mental Health Association reported in 2024 that the mental health of Canadians is three times worse than before COVID-19, and that no jurisdiction is spending enough on mental health.
On Sept. 2, Health Minister Marjorie Michel announced more than $30-million over four years towards strengthening and expanding the existing Integrated Youth Services Network of Networks across Canada.
