Maverick Newfoundland Liberal MP McDonald says he could reconsider retirement plans if leader calls him

As of last week, 55 MPs from all parties had announced they would not seek re-election. Among them, 34 are Liberals, 10 are Conservatives, five are New Democrats, five are from the Bloc Québécois, and one is an Independent.
Maverick three-term Liberal MP Ken McDonald says he is open to revisiting his decision not to seek reelection if the party leader calls him, but there is no guarantee he will change his mind.

With the next election expected to be called this month, a fifth Liberal MP may reconsider his retirement plans and run again in the next election.
