‘Difficult to ascertain if there has been progress,’ says former MMIWG commissioner

June 3 marked the fifth anniversary of the release of the final report of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. Meanwhile, Crown-Indigenous Relations Minister Gary Anandasangaree says he's also frustrated by delays in progress, and wants to see an end to this crisis.
Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations Gary Anandasangaree told reporters on the Hill on June 3 that 'I fundamentally believe that this is a crisis that we can end,' in reference to the national crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and two-spirit people.
