‘Under-the-surface favouritism’: Procurement watchdog finds no evidence of political meddling in McKinsey contracts

'If we were to see something that would give rise to a suspicion of criminality, we would refer that to the RCMP,' says Procurement Ombud Alexander Jeglic. 'We have not referenced anything to the RCMP.'
The federal government coughed up a total of $117-million in contracts to consulting firm McKinsey and Company between 2011 and 2023, according to Office of the Procurement Ombud, headed by Alexander Jeglic.

Procurement Ombud Alexander Jeglic says he found no evidence of political interference or fraud in his review of federal contracts with McKinsey and Company during testimony at the House Government Operations and Estimates Committee on April 29.
