Liberals shut down House Ethics Committee debate over whether to study Winnipeg lab leak documents: ‘this is not our committee’s mandate’

The Conservatives will need the NDP’s support to pass a motion to undertake a study of the Winnipeg lab leak documents, but NDP MP Matthew Green says the study should happen at the Canada-China Committee instead. 
Conservative MP Michael Chong said the House Ethics and Access to Information Committee was 'the committee where we were able to get the requisite signatures from two parties' to be able to call a meeting outside of the regular schedule.

The House Ethics Committee was scheduled to meet for three hours today, but the meeting was cut short after less than one hour after Liberal MP Iqra Khalid abruptly moved to adjourn debate.
