Former Ontario cabinet minister Parm Gill’s appointment as federal candidate ‘unfair and undemocratic’: grassroots Conservatives

Grassroots party members want assurance from the party that they will be able to elect a candidate in the newly created riding of Milton East-Halton Hills South, and not have one appointed, says Laurie Norrie, a board member of the Wellington-Halton Hills Conservative EDA.

In a letter sent to the Conservative Party's national council, some grassroots party members are protesting the appointment of former Ontario cabinet minister Parm Gill as a federal candidate without a nomination election, calling it “both unfair and undemocratic.”
