Bureaucracy grew again after more than 400,000 applied to join, says report on federal public service

The federal public service increased by 6.5 per cent between the beginning of April 2022 and the end of March 2022, with 71,2000 external hires made from outside of the bureacracy. That corresponds to an increase of 9.9 per cent compared to the previous year.
