People must have confidence and control over their identity data, and on the flip side, they must have evidence that their privacy, security and choices are secured.
Digital ID essentially means using physical identification such as a passport or driver's licence in safe and convenient tools like digital wallets or networks to do things like authenticate to social networks, buy controlled substances, board a plane, or get a bank loan.
