On March 6, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced several actions to combat foreign interference in elections, including appointing a special rapporteur to make recommendations, including whether to call a public inquiry.

Naming a special rapporteur on foreign election interference shows the Liberals are “working to manage” an issue that's had them on the defensive for over a week, but “they're not out of the woods by any stretch of the imagination,” says pollster Nik Nanos.
