Having a DJ spin records is a new twist that gets my endorsement, especially since The Hill Times crew tore up the dance floor. I didn’t get home until 2:30 a.m. My partner thought that was scandalous until I reminded her the earliest I ever got home from the Parliamentary Press Gallery dinners in the past was 5 a.m.

This year, I attended the Parliamentary Press Gallery dinner for the first time in 38 years. There’s been a lot of changes over the decades, but the event proved to be a useful gathering of politics and the press.
