Record-breaking lobbying activity in May focuses on environment

Environment-related advocacy topped federal lobbying for the fourth consecutive month in May. A total of 3,151 communication reports were filed for May as of June 30, which exceeds the total for any other May since 2009, which is as far back as online records are available.
Innovation Minister François-Philippe Champagne was the most-lobbied federal minister in May, and communicated with organizations including BHP Canada and the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers.
