Democracy Watch and citizen advocacy groups prepare opposition to proposed Lobbyists’ Code changes

Democracy Watch says it's concerned that proposed changes to the rule concerning political work in the Lobbyists' Code of Conduct could allow 'corrupt favour-trading.' But GRIC and the Public Affairs Association of Canada argue that placing any limitation on registrable activities as a result of political activity is a violation of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
