House of Commons spends $366.8-million by 2021-22 third quarter, up 6.6 per cent: report

The expected $22-million uptick in expenses this year is tied to measures meant to strengthen security support for MPs and IT systems acquired by the House of Commons.

With pandemic restrictions easing, the House of Commons spending rebounded in the third quarter of 2020-21, and used $366.8-million of the $561.4-million approved this fiscal year, putting spending up 6.6 per cent compared to the year before.
