‘A huge step’: Senate Internal Economy Committee brings in new occupational health and safety policies for all Senate employees, staffers

Under the policy, and the Canada Labour Code, Senate employees have the right to identify an unsafe situation to file a formal health and safety complaint, the right to refuse dangerous work, and the right for pregnant and nursing employees to job-protected leave. They didn't have those rights before.
