Business groups, NDP want answers about COVID-19 support programs before Parliament resumes

NDP MP Peter Julian says waiting another three weeks to resolve the confusion for business owners across Canada would be irresponsible.
Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland announced the Tourism and Hospitality Recovery Program and the Hardest-Hit Business Recovery Program on Oct. 23, which are intended to support eligible businesses struggling during the pandemic. Some business advocacy groups have questions about the programs, such as the exact eligibility criteria.
