No vaccines without investment in research: sobering

We must act, and act now. We strongly recommend that the budgets of Canada’s granting councils (CIHR, NSERC and SSHRC) be at least doubled and that this additional funding be directed to support investigator-led research operating grants. This will help us do the foundational work that needs done and to attract and retain the scientific talent that we need.
