Senators have voted to amend the government's assisted dying bill in five ways so far, but the justice minister and NDP and Conservative critics aren't ready to take a stance on them yet. The third reading vote on Bill C-7 will be held on or before Feb. 17. That would give the Senate and House at least six sitting days in which to sort out the Red Chamber’s amendments to the bill before the court-imposed deadline of Feb. 26.
