Senate committees halted from holding hybrid, virtual meetings as Conservatives and ISG point fingers 

As Senate leaders squabble over how to run committees, the delayed start stretches closer to Parliament’s one-year mark, and halts the work of one powerful committee which its chair says puts the Senate 'at risk.'
Independent Senator Yuen Pau Woo and Conservative Senator Don Plett and are at odds over whether committees should be able to meet completely by virtual means—in addition to hybrid meetings—adding to the already long delays in getting the Chamber's 18 regular committees up and running.
Senate committee starts were further delayed as the bickering groups couldn’t agree on the rules to meet, including halting the work of one crucial committee whose “unusual” hiatus its chair warned puts the Senate “at risk.”
