Roughly 15 months ago, at a ceremony to mark the official handover of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls’ final report, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau committed to “real, meaningful, Indigenous-led action” on the inquiry’s 231 calls for justice.
