Feds should focus on gauging ‘wariness’ of COVID measures, says strategist, after public opinion research spending dip in 2019-20

The feds spent $11.3-million on public opinion research in 2019-20, but researchers expect that figure to rise as the government works to gauge reaction to COVID-19 relief measures.
Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada, which are overseen by Health Minister Patty Hajdu, posted the highest number of custom public opinion research studies and the highest bill at $2.8-million for 2019-20, according to a recent report.
