With political fundraising mostly suspended, some MPs floating idea of reviving per-vote subsidy

MPs and political parties have either suspended fundraising or have scaled it back significantly because of COVID-19 and they say they don't know when regular fundraising will restart.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, Bloc Québécois Leader Yves-François Blanchet, and Green Party Parliamentary Leader Elizabeth May. All major federal political parties and MPs have either suspended their fundraising or have scaled it down significantly because of COVID-19.
