Feds to finalize 100 Wellington’s future by 2021—Algonquin, Indigenous groups continue dispute over vacant site 

It remains unknown how much longer 100 Wellington St., which has sat vacant since 1998, will be closed to the public, but Ottawa is to have a finalized plan for the long-term use of the site by fall 2021.
The feds have spent $1-million to maintain the empty building at 100 Wellington St. over the last five years. The future of the site is to be finalized two years from now. The government said it would dedicate the space to Indigenous people in 2017.
