On the Hill, Supreme Court nominee Kasirer faces questions on commitment to diversity, gender equality

Nicholas Kasirer's responses on issues around gender equality were a little more revealing. 
Nicholas Kasirer, pictured July 25, 2019, the Trudeau government's latest Supreme Court nominee. Mr. Kasirer, Quebec Court of Appeal judge, faced a jury of MPs and Senators, who sought to spotlight issues of concern to their constituents, at a special committee hearing on his nomination that brought Parliamentarians back to the Hill on Wednesday. 
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s nominee for the top court on Thursday fielded wide-ranging questions from Parliamentarians on his fitness to serve in the interests of Indigenous communities, minorities, and vulnerable groups.
