With Canada’s election looming, sense of urgency growing over passage of new NAFTA, say Republican aides

On Tuesday, they head to Winnipeg to discuss Indigenous issues, and later this week, will be in Calgary for energy and trade talks.

The new NAFTA deal, trade talks, and immigration issues will be top of mind for eight U.S. Democratic and Republican Congressional staffers who are touring Canada this week. It kicked off today with a visit to the U.S. Embassy and a briefing on Canada-U.S. relations.
