‘It has gripped the country’: Canadian MPs, Senators in shock after landing in Addis Ababa two hours following deadly crash in Ethiopia

A sense of grief has gripped the country in the wake of the crash. Senator Jim Munson said that flags are being flown at half mast, and at each meeting they’ve attended, they’ve observed a moment of silence.

Parliamentarians who travelled to Ethiopia on Sunday are still reeling in the aftermath of the plane crash that happened just a few hours after their own plane safely landed in Addis Ababa, the country’s capital, which serves as a hub for flights across Africa.
