Nomination race spending limit doubles for 2019 campaign, creating barrier to recruiting new female candidates, say MPs

The spending limits for nomination contests are higher in the 2019 election cycle, almost double what they were from 2015, because of that election's longer-than-usual, 78-day campaign period.
