Storm of lobbying activity on the horizon on seniors, environment, intergovernmental affairs files, say lobbyists
As much as the NAFTA talks are consuming the Trudeau government’s bandwidth, it has also sent the signal to stakeholders that it’s hoping to reorient some of its resources to other files as it lays the groundwork for the 2019 campaign.
Trade is still by far the hottest file lobbyists are preoccupied with heading into the fall sitting, but there could be a quiet storm of activity building around some of the new portfolios carved out in the summer cabinet shuffle.
