Roma community campaigns for feds’ official recognition of genocide during Holocaust

When the House returns later this month, the Roma community will be campaigning to convince Ottawa to formally recognize the genocide of the Roma who were targeted by the Nazis.
The offices of Foreign Affairs Minister Chrystia Freeland, pictured, and Heritage Minister Pablo Rodriguez this year issued a statement to mark the remembrance day of the Roma genocide during the Holocaust.

Gina Csanyi-Robah was around 13 years old when her grandmother first told her that her relatives were genocide survivors during the Holocaust.
