After failing to get Canada Summer Jobs grants, pro-life faith groups fear losing charity status

Faith leaders speculated that ‘the next logical step’ for the government is to revoke the charity status of faith groups that don’t hold the same values as the Justin Trudeau government.
Employment, Workforce Development and Labour Minister Patty Hajdu is currently consulting MPs on how to improve the Canada Summer Jobs program next year. In the coming weeks, she will also be reaching out to faith leaders and other stakeholders to get their feedback.
