Liberal majority defeats motion to have Trudeau appear before House Ethics Committee on Aga Khan affair

The motion, introduced by Conservative MP Peter Kent, was supported by all opposition members on the committee at the Jan. 9 meeting, but needed the support of at least two of the six Liberal voting members to pass. However, all eligible members of the Liberal contingent voted against it.
